West Ham·Manager·Former goalkeeper Rob Green has said Scott Parker is a strong choice to take charge at West Ham. Green pointed to Parker's track record of guiding teams to promotion as the main reason he would suit the role. Parker has been linked with the vacancy at the Hammers, and Green's comments add to the speculation about who will succeed the outgoing manager. Green, who spent time at the club during his playing career, said Parker's experience made him an ideal fit for the job.
Why it mattersGreen's endorsement comes as West Ham sit eighth in the Championship on 22 points from 13 games, six behind leaders Middlesbrough, having taken just one win from their last five.
