Manchester City attacker Phil Foden said he is hoping to earn an England recall after being left out of the squad for last summer's World Cup and this season's Nations League games by Thomas Tuchel. Foden, 26, said he hopes the call-up returns one day and that he must keep producing strong performances. He also said he has not been in contact with Tuchel. The next round of England fixtures is due to be named in a squad announcement on Friday, though Foden is unlikely to feature in those matches, which come too soon for a recall. Enzo Maresca also commented on the City squad, saying the club cannot rely on Erling Haaland for every game.
