Aston Villa·Manager·Unai Emery is set to face Barcelona with Aston Villa, returning to the Camp Nou for the first time in this competition since the 2017 match in which Paris Saint-Germain, which he was managing, lost 6-1 after leading 4-0 from the first leg. Emery was asked about that night on the eve of the fixture, and the match is widely known as the Remontada. The fixture is part of the expanded Champions League, and it marks a notable return to a venue tied to one of the most difficult episodes of his managerial career.
Why it mattersEmery's return to the Camp Nou comes as Villa sit 10th in the Premier League, 12 points behind leaders Arsenal, with the Remontada still central to his career.
