Daichi Kamada scored in added time to salvage a Europa League draw for Crystal Palace against Hoffenheim at Selhurst Park. Hoffenheim had taken the lead in the seventh minute and Palace were reduced to ten men when Adam Wharton was sent off with 13 minutes remaining. Kamada struck after a goalmouth scramble was not cleared, firing under the goalkeeper. The result spared Palace a defeat to a side currently in the lower half of the Bundesliga, after they had been second best for much of the match.
