Frank Lampard, now Coventry manager, will make his first return to Hill Dickinson Stadium on Friday, when Everton host Coventry. Lampard was appointed Everton manager in 2022 after fan protests and a rejected approach for Vítor Pereira, and he stayed in charge for about 12 months before leaving with the club in another relegation battle. He is remembered warmly by Everton supporters, and his connection with the fanbase was credited with helping keep the club up in 2022. The fixture marks a notable reunion between the former manager and the club he once led.
